" Pere, I can explain! It's not what you think!" Genevieve hurriedly tried to explain herself seeing the cold stare of her father.

" Is that your kid?" He asked point blank looking at Elise who was hiding behind her due to sudden arrival of strangers.

" My kid? You mean Elise?" She was confused for a second which gave her mother a chnace to speak up.

" So what she is? Are you going to disown your own granddaughter? Just look at her, she is so cute and well behaved. " Virginia knew her husbands temper, she started showering Elise with compliments hoping to soften the blow.

Roberta, Alana and Katarina came to Lilly to understand what they were talking about because they were talking in french.

Lilly discreetly told them what was going on, at first they were dumbfounded how much their prank had gotten out of hand but soon they found Genevieve situation funny with no intentions of meddling in to resolve the issue. It was cruel but they couldn't help for a better situation when they conconted the plan.

" I am sick of this! Have you ever thought about the rumours? She is not even married yet and now she is bringing a strange kid like it's a joke. It's why I always told you not to spoil them but you never listen to me!" Maurice was not happy with the situation.

He was never the one to use loud noises against his wife but everyone had a breaking point. He only wanted what's best for his daughter so he never interfere much with her life choices even sending her abroad to study with heavy heart because he always thought it was better for her to stay closer to hom in case something happened.

" Why are you so angry in front kids? This is the reason why our daughter never tells us anything. You always try to justify things by getting mad at everything she does. Now that she finally about to open up about her secrets, you start yelling at her?"

" So, it's my fault? If only she stayed and tool care of family business none of this would happen. She could have already married woth kids but now we don't even know who the father is, whether he is a good person or is he just trying to take advantage-"

" Both of you stop!" Genevieve exclaimed loudly making their heads turn! She had all the answers she needed when she listened to them and at the same time saw the grinning expression on Alana and Roberta's faces. Lilly could only shrug to say that she had no part in this!n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Her parents were shocked to see her raise her voice when they felt she was clearly in the wrong, just when they were about to put her in her place Elise got in between two parties spreading her hand.

They could see that she was terrified as she was shaking but she did her best and said out loud," Y-you can't bully my friend!"

""Friend?""

" That's what I have been trying to tell you about. It's all a misunderstanding!" Genevieve took the opportunity to speak her mind when she too was interrupted by Alana and Roberta's laughter.

They enjoyed the show but they had been keeping it in for too long, the scene that broke them was Elise coming to Genevieve's rescue. They didn't know whether to be worried about Elise or to think her actions as cute!

While they rolled around on the floor, Genevieve explained to them what really happened. She started working as soon as she arrived home so she didn't get time to discuss what truly happened to them.

She didn't tell them everything only hinted that they found someone to help them and Elise was someone she met while staying at his house.

Her parents breathed a sigh of relief but thinking about their daughter staying at a strangers house also knowing about Helga situation and why she had to stay behind with a stranger made her worried again.

He might have helped their daughter but they didn't know each other well enough to form such type of connection. When they saw her daughter's face light up talking about him, they had some inkling to what might really be going on.

" Do you guys really believe her lies? What about the strange man that kissed her-"

" I always told you not to drink too much at night! Are you sure you saw what you saw?" Genevieve nudged his ribs and gave him a deathly stare.

She didn't want her secrets to be known to her parents but more than that Roberta and others were also here. It could lead to a greater disaster as she didn't want to betray their trust and wanted time to come clean herself.

Her parents were suspicious but didn't delve further into it since both of them were ashamed to jump to conclusions. Her father was especially mad at his younger son to filling his ears with lies and properly dealt with him by putting him on a deep cleaning duty.

" You two rascals, you almost gave us a heart attack!" Virginia grabbed their's ears as they kept laughing at the family drama.

Everyone had a good relationship with Virginia, especially Alana and Roberta because they could atleast understand one another. Still her mother liked Helga the best with how helpful and docile she was much to Genevieve's dismay.

Within few days, these four girls became the daughters she never had. Maurice also appreciated them because they were close to his daughter and were not bad kids.

" Aunty! It was all her idea, you know I will never do something like this!" Alana hugged her tightly pointing fingers at Roberta.

" You bitch, Are you throwing me under the bus? It was you who convinced Elise with sweet deals!" Roberta took the other side trying to pull Virginia closer to her.

" Good morning, Mr. Maurice." Katarina on the other hand went to talk to Genevieve's father because he understood a little russian.

" It seems you had nothing to do with it?"

" I tried to stop them but you know how stubborn they are. I am sorry it cause such inconvenience to the diner."

" It's fine. We can use some rest beside the kitchen wouldn't clean itself. With that brat in charge of cleaning, it will take him whole day."

" Yes."

" Helga got hurt? Why didn't you call us?"

" It's not that serious. She has few scratches but the doctor assured us that it wouldn't leave any scars."

Maurice nodded but he changed the subject and wanted to know more about the mystery man. He wanted to make sure he wasn't a threat to his daughter!
